The Mind

Hey guys this is my first blog .The topic is an abstract one. The very purpose was not to choose something and add to it but rather choosing something that derives some rationality. The blog does contain some computer science jargons but one can figure out its soul. Would be rather glad if you all can put in some views. This is my maiden attempt, suggestions are heartily welcomed.

                                                 THE MIND

When you think about it, the mind is the most fascinating thing; with disregard to the human body it resembles a peculiarity of its own. You come across an ocean of thoughts everyday ,each thought keeps you involved, web sites talk about mining  user activities so that they can enhance the browsing experience based on user interests. Now imagine the same system within yourself, your mind mines your daily activities, your interests and delivers a package of thoughts which keeps you involved all day long.

Behind every great idea has always been a thought, behind every thought guess what? Your interests.. They keep you involved thinking about a particular thing .Interests channelize your thoughts in a way that you start improvising that one little thing you love. What makes a “Beautiful Mind”?... A sense of direction to your wandering thoughts. When you start loving something, you do it over and over again. You never use the term practice for doing what you like, instead the very reason you do it is because it defines “YOU”. Practice sounds like a mechanical activity that is done to improvise on something you lack. So if you have got a mind that has already found something it loves to do without counting the number of hours you invested, number of attempts you made; well it surely is “Beautiful”.

The reason I say it’s fascinating is coz of its inhuman peculiarity .When you fall asleep you get a million dreams. Each dream has some relation to your daily activities. When you fall asleep your dream starts of like a story you have never come across, from a dynamic event a rather alien subject which was a part of your daily activity your mind created a story which in your consciousness you never imagined of portraying. Now the reason I called it inhuman is, imagine yourself being hit by a discussion on a particular random topic; you spend hours trying to get ideas about it. The boy who failed in an IIM Group Discussion round had last night dreamt about a thing he never came across, his mind  formed a story out of a random incident in his daily life while asleep, yet today when given a topic he stands clueless in front of the panel. What is it that makes you go wrong?

 What makes you wrong?

You go wrong when you start imposing things ..You lay the barriers.. You start telling yourself how to go about things... instinct and intuit can only get it right when you are natural. While you are driving a car you never go about any algorithmic way ...while running you never think whether the left foot should be grounded first or the right one. Imagine if “Bolt” the famous Sprinter ever thought so , he would have been far behind the finishing line   ..So it’s your faith on your instinct that, you won’t go wrong; is what matters.

They say even the hardest thing to learn takes no more than 40 days to get it within your instinct; if you work rigorously over it.. Practice is the food for your instinct. It’s how your mom taught you to walk when you were a toddler. You never feared going wrong even when you fell a thousand times u got up and walked over and over again. Imagine you would have gave up trying you would have never ran behind an 8am bus for which you were late. The biggest hindrance is our habit of analyzing everything we do ..We never want to accept the fact that v still need to improve...

Again taking the same example you learnt to walk but nobody taught you to run fast. How fast? well what is so different between you and bolt that he runs faster than you .Guess what ?..Not that his mom taught him to walk in a better way it’s his practice that got his instinct to be polished such that he now is the fastest man on Earth. You never gave up when u were a kid why to do it now?.. Since life’s first step you have been taught you don’t inherit instinct from your ancestors, you develop it..

The quality of a powerful mind is its strength to sustain obstacles and continue rather than analyzing everything that is going wrong that’s why many can’t even start while others have already taken a stride. The only thing i wanted to conclude was never doubt your abilities .Your mind is like a child teach him how to walk but never count how many times he fell (he failed)..It’s only one's ability to sustain failures. Keep that faith going, someday you are bound to get it right because for once when you were a toddler you fell a thousand times and look now you can stand on your feet’s.
